What is remarketing and how does it work?
Remarketing enables advertisers to target specific users who have visited or completed a particular action on their website.
In order to remarket to internet users, advertisers need to install a snippet of code placed on the website (such as the Google Analytics tag or the Facebook Pixel) in order for the user data to be gathered.
This allows advertisers to create remarketing audiences, such as users who have visited a specific webpage, users who have abandoned a cart or users who have viewed a specific product. From here, advertisers can target these users through paid advertising channels.
This form of retargeting can be highly beneficial to the path to conversion by creating additional touchpoints for the user on the path to conversion.
